Creative Visualization is a healthy way of bringing positive energy to the mind, body, and expanding capacity for creativity. This is a powerful technique that helps relieve stress and overwhelm by focusing the mind on more peaceful and serene images.
Participants will be guided through a body scan to release tension, then on to mindfulness of the breath to help ground in the present moment. Finally they will be guided to creatively visualize a calm space that they can use and come back to whenever they are feeling stressed or unwell. Classes are 30 minutes with an intro, guided practice, then time for Q&A. Open to all levels and beginners welcome!
Attendees will learn:
-How to help soothe anxiety and stress
-How to focus on different parts of the body and breath to settle and anchor into the present moment without judgement
-Creatively visualize a safe or calm space to come back to whenever they are feeling overwhelmed, stressed, or unwell
-Self compassion
