All Things Health: Women's Edition

This session addresses common health issues for women and how to help lower related risk factors. Participants will learn about the importance of preventive care, lifestyle strategies, annual checkups and age guidelines for health screenings. Topics include: breast cancer, hormone health, energy, work-life balance, osteoporosis (bone health), eating well and eating disorders, emotional health, and stress.

About this speaker: Susan is a wellness champion who nurtures and connects with individuals and organizations who have an interest in investing in their physical and mental well-being. She has translated her career in health and wellness communications to hands-on healthcare delivery that inspires behavioral shifts through 1:1 coaching and health education.
Provider's Education: Susan earned a Master of Science in Managerial Communication from Northwestern University and a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from Michigan State University.
Provider's Experience: Accredited by the American College of Sports Medicine as a Certified Wellness Coach, National CDC Diabetes Prevention Lifestyle Coach, Faculty Member of The Wellness Council of America (WELCOA), Susan has volunteered with the Arthritis Foundation, the United Way, Northwestern Memorial Hospital, the Girl Scouts, Northwestern University, Columbia College, and mentors college graduates in their career development. Susan is a certified ACSM Group Exercise Instructor and Silver Sneakers Instructor, triathlete, golfer, walking enthusiast and yoga practitioner.
