Physical Therapy - Optimal Movement & Posture in the Workplace

Movement and posture are critical to maintaining physical health. We have all been told about the problems that come with prolonged sitting - but what do we do about it? As a physical therapist Campbell has an in-depth understanding of the issues that arise from poor posture, and the associated dysfunctional movement patterns that come with it.

Poor posture can be a pre-determining factor for many back, neck and shoulder injuries, but if caught early, can be reversed. It is thus important that effective workplace practices are implemented to help prevent or minimize the occurrence of posture related pain and dysfunction.

Campbell has developed a simple, movement based program that can be used at work individually or in groups to negate the effects of prolonged postures common in the workplace. He will educate participants on the effects of posture on breathing, spinal health and the cardiovascular system. After exploring the basics of optimal positioning at work, Campbell will lead a concise, tailored movement practice that specifically targets the areas of the body most affected by poor posture.
