21st Century Diabetes : Welcome to the Starch Side

The current dogma regarding the cause and treatment of type 2 diabetes - that it is caused by an excess of sugars, and best managed through restriction of carbohydrate intake - has turned out wrong. Current evidence indicates equal or greater roles for both saturated fat and protein excess in causing diabetes and its complications.

Attendees will Learn

-How saturated fats are a critical contributor to glucose intolerance, insulin resistance, and the eventual diagnosis of diabetes
-How an excess of protein contributes to both diabetes and its complications
-Why a moderate intake of "good" carbs is a fundamental way to both prevent and treat diabetes and prevent the diseases it causes
