Resilience, Self-Care, and Collective Trauma

Intense events around the world and in our own backyards can stir trauma in our communities and in ourselves. Such communal post-traumatic stress is called collective trauma, and it resides in our bodies. To heal, we need to increase our body awareness and connect with ourselves and others. This connection-building, body-centered webinar provides:
- A brief overview of trauma and collective trauma
- A guided, grounding meditation
- Simple, mindful movement
- Small and large group conversation
- An introduction to three key resilience and self-care practices

Attendees will learn: -Define trauma and collective trauma -Understand the basics of resilience and self-care for collective trauma -Provide an opportunity to connect with colleagues around collective trauma -Identify at least one new strategy for enhancing resilience
About this speaker: A psychologist and life coach with over 30 years of experience, Tom is an author of the Amazon.com bestseller Full Heart Living: Conversations with the Happiest People I Know. He is now working on a second book and video project on Resilience following Trauma. Whether writing, counseling individuals or groups, appearing on media, or teaching, his passion for helping people live their best lives flows through.
