Mental Health 101

Let's talk about it. De-mystify it. Many people struggle with mental health issues, so let's learn about it. This talk helps to dispel common myths about mental illness and gives valuable information on how the workplace can become a supportive environment for those who are working with mental illness.

Attendees will learn: -About common mental health conditions and their warning signs -What to do if they or someone they know may be experiencing a mental health condition -How to foster a mentally healthy work environment
About this speaker: Erin is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) with over ten years of experience working with children and families. She received her Master of Social Work degree at Salem State University in 2012. She has spent the last 5 years working as an intensive in-home family therapist helping to support children with significant mental health challenges. As a registered yoga teacher that specializes in treating trauma, anxiety and depression with yoga poses and mindfulness practices, she finds that combining individual mental health treatment with a consistent yoga practice can be a powerful healing tool.
