Across the board, individuals are facing mental health issues at higher rates than ever before. Traditional mental health resources more than often lack a culturally-competent and engaging perspective which causes students to tune out on valuable information. Tarrin recognized this issue and in response, utilizes his experience of living with mental illness to fill that much-needed void.
Tarrin employs a unique approach that allows the audience to be present during his darkest hour when he was considering suicide but found the sign that his life was not meant to end. Tarrins goal is to use his impactful and inspiring story of how he went from feeling hopeless to hopeful in efforts to EDUCATE others and to END the stigma associated with mental health. The Rebirth of the Phoenix speaking experience keeps the audience engaged and leaves them with a wealth of valuable information.
